Gen Con Dealer Attacks You Tube Personality

Just when you thought it was safe to be a nerd with an opinion Gen Con Dealer Attacks a Youtube Personality!

Jeremy, The Quartering, from YouTube

For years, conventions and the towns they are hosted in have been havens for fans and creators alike when it rolls into town. Gen Con has been one of them since 1968 established by the late founding father and co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, Gary Gygax. Since then Gen Con has transitioned into the hands of former Wizards of the Coast (Magic the Gathering) CEO, Peter Adkison. Since then there have been some ups and downs but today as of today, August 2nd of 2018, the ride has come to somewhat of a stop. Game “Publisher” “Matt Loter” has been accused of Assaulting YouTube Personality “The Quartering’s” Jeremy at the Anita early in the morning. The attack was unprovoked and subsequently did NOT lead to “Mutual Combat”. Jeremy has stated that he never met this person and has never interacted with him before.

Matt Loter calls himself “Matt Fantastic” or “Prettiestmatt” on Twitter and has protected his tweets. Mr. Loter has been a Krav Maga Instructor in the past (which means he knows the fullest extent of physical harm he can do with his bare hands and hat intent possibly to inflict grievous bodily harm and potentially deliver fatal blows to Jeremy’s body if patrons at the establishment did not intervene), he owns Elm City Games and has been in the gaming industry for a few years. While we were able to see many of them before his self enacted twitter embargo, he, had a slew of anti-government posts and hostile rhetoric going down the length of his twitter page. Charges will be pressed today and we will keep you up to date on what’s been going on. In addition to this development Gen Con refuses to give a quote and has said on their Twitch account during a stream “This is not the place for that matter” and has been called out for not taking a public stance on the attack of a dealer wearing their 4 day badge off-site of an attendee. What will Gen Con do in this case? Will “Matt” be defended by this company or will they stand against bullying? Time will tell and we’ll keep you up to date.

-Update: 8/2/18 8:55 PM PST-
Jeremy has officially filed a Police Report and will be following through to prosecute and charge to the furthest extent of the law (when funds allow). Matt Loter has officially fled the scene and will NOT make a comment. We called the Gen Con convention Operations number and were given no comment, we called the Indianapolis Metro Police Department and they refused to comment, we even called Elm City Games (the comic book store Matt Loter owns) and they hung up. With physical evidence and 5 witnesses to the attack “Pritteset Matt” may not look so pretty anymore.
